Gaëtan Vivier is a recent addition to Sodexo's team but is by no means new to the service industry. Having graduated from ITHQ in 1982, he has 32 years of experience in the hospitality industry and has been our General Manager since January 2011. His professional experience includes 6 years as Banquet Director at the Park Avenue Hotel in Montréal and 13 years as Catering & Convention Service Director at The Hyatt Regency. He was nominated Catering Director of the year in 2000 for Wyndham International as well as Director of Catering and Convention Services of the year in 2005 for Hyatt International Hotels & Resorts. Other significant accomplishments include the planning of several events such as MPI and HBE events, The Montreal Jazz Festival, FFM, JFL, and many other international conventions. For 2015, his goal for Sodexo at Bishop's is to focus on providing outstanding service, improving staff engagement and ensuring student satisfaction while increasing synergy with all campus departments. He hopes to use the expertise and experience that he and his team have acquired over the years to provide an exceptional service, as well as enable members to grow and benefit from each other's experience.

Growing up on a beef farm in Richmond, QC taught me to work hard, dream big, and what a team means.  It's safe to say my passion for food started literally on the land. After college, the West was calling, and the Rocky Mountains was a good place to start.  Apprenticing at the Fairmont Chateau Lac Louise gave me a solid start to my career.  With Red Seal in hand, I headed back to the Ottawa Valley for 10 years, where I would join Hilton before heading back to the Fairmont Chain.  After Fairmont, I was extremely honored to join the Parliament Hill production team as Production Chef.After winning Chopped Canada in the first season, my dream of returning to the Eastern Townships came true.  As Banquet Chef at the Hotel & Suites Le Dauphin , I returned to the community with my husband and our 2 children.It gives me great pleasure to join the Sodexo team at Bishop's University and to continue supporting the community & local producers by offering a food service of the highest standard.

Lyne Lafontaine has worked for Sodexo for twenty five years. Having studied administration at Moncalm, her knowledge ensures that all administrative tasks are smoothly and efficiently handled. She arrived on the Bishop’s University campus in 2006 when Sodexo acquired the food service account. Lyne has a home in Fleurimont, Quebec.

After finishing a BA in English Literature at Laurentian University, I worked for 5 years in my family’s restaurant, gaining a wealth of experience in every aspect of the industry. However after 5 years, the desire to further develop my skills and knowledge was burning, I was looking for a change of scenery and a change of pace.  At the urging of friends who had returned to the Eastern Townships after university, I packed my bags and headed east. What I have found in Lennoxville is unlike any place I’ve ever been. I immediately felt at home in a way that is difficult to explain. I started at Sodexo as a Line Supervisor at Dewhurst Hall, and after assisting with the 2016 Chancellor’s Dinner I was offered the position of Catering and Events Manager. This position is one that challenges me to be as organized as possible, to always be prepared for any last minute changes  and to anticipate the needs of our internal and external clients here at Bishops University. I look forward to continuing to develop my leadership and management skills with the help of the extremely talented group of people that I am lucky to work with every day.
